
Leadership Howard County, which seeks to empower leaders to strengthen and transform the community, named Brendan Mahoney chair of the organization’s board of directors. Mahoney graduated from the Leadership Premier program in 2018 and the Leadership Essentials program in 2011.
Professionally, Mahoney serves as group manager of commercial banking for M&T Bank’s Chesapeake Region, leading a team of relationship managers serving middle market and corporate clients across the region. With more than 20 years of banking experience, Mahoney brings expertise in commercial lending, relationship management and strategic leadership.
In addition to his service to Leadership Howard County, Mahoney has served on the boards of Luminus and Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves on Trinity School’s finance committee and coaches youth baseball in western Howard County. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Manhattan College.
