About the LHC Board

2021 vision:  Leadership Howard County is the critical force in preparing, inspiring, connecting and sustaining community leaders to make Howard County the best place to live, work and play.

Board members have the overall responsibility for Leadership Howard County. They are charged with both governance and oversight which is the process by which they make decisions, delegate work and ensure recommendations are carried out in accordance with the By Laws of the organization.

Qualifications for Board Membership

  • Members of the Board shall be current members of LHC in good standing (paid dues, participate in LHC activities).
  • It is the express intent of LHC that its Board of Directors will reflect the diversity that make up LHC membership and provide the diversities and skills necessary to the Board.
