Each year, Leadership Howard County honors individuals for their outstanding dedication and commitment to serving the community. These honorees exemplify the highest level of leadership, utilizing their skills and resources to positively impact the community and leave an enduring legacy for others to follow. In 2023, LHC updated its annual awards categories; the previous Leadership Legacy, Unsung Hero, and Distinguished Alumni Awards were merged into a new category, LHC’s Key Leader, which acknowledges the key past award attributes, while looking ahead to LHC’s future. Two new awards were also introduced: LHC’s Emerging Leader, which recognizes a recent Premier graduate for their engagement and advocacy, and LHC’s Corporate Community Impact Leader, which recognizes a company for their compassion and service to the community.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 11. We look forward to honoring LHC’s 2026 Key Leader, Linda Ostovitz, LP’15, Principal Attorney & Legal Operations Chair at the law firm, Offit Kurman. Linda is widely recognized for her leadership in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector. In addition to recognizing the Key Leader, the 2026 recipients of The Richard Story Corporate Community Impact Award and the Emerging Leader Award, will be named. Nominations for both awards are due Friday, September 18 and more details may be found by clicking on the respective links. Don’t forget, the night will be capped off with revealing the 2026 Best Class Ever! Alumni should submit eligible activities by Wednesday, September 30.
