This Just In: BioEnergy Dev

This is the first anaerobic digester of its scale in the state, with the capability to recycle tons of organics annually to produce renewable natural gas for energy and rich, fertile soil amendment for agricultural and other land use. Alumni 2.0 – African Art Museum of Maryland
Join Museum Co-founder, Doris Ligon, for a tour of the African Art Museum of Maryland (AAMM), a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution, founded in 1980 as the first Museum in the planned community of Columbia, MD. It is one of only three museums of its kind in the USA devoted exclusively to the art of Africa and is the only one founded by an African American. AAMM is observing 40 years of service to this public this year and has been recognized as “one of the State’s most respected cultural institutions,” and in 2013 was cited as
Alumni 2.0 – B&O Railroad Museum
Take a tour of the oldest surviving railroad station in the country in historic Old Ellicott City! Discover how the town came to be 250 years ago, and how nearly 200 years of railroad history have impacted Ellicott City and Maryland. This hour-long tour will take us through the 190-year-old station and will include a visit to our 40-foot model of the first thirteen miles of railroad in the country, and our restored 1927 caboose car. As an added treat for the holiday season, our holiday train gardens will also be on display. Click here
