    The Department of Corrections (DOC) is committed to protecting the citizens of Howard County by providing a secure, safe, and humane detention facility. An important strategy for community safety is addressing the program needs of those in custody prior to their return to the community. Education, health/mental health care, substance use disorder counseling, medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders, anger management, housing, employment, and transition counseling are offered both pre and post-release. Join Director, Margaret Chippendale, to receive an overview of the DOC,  explore their respective units and what they do, as well as Q&A.

The Community Impact Project (CIP) is an important component of both the Leadership Premier and Essentials programs where program participants work together in teams with a host organization for a limited amount of time, addressing an organizational challenge or strategic issue.
