Howard County’s Spending Affordability Advisory Committee Report Findings
The Hub Spot 6724 Alexander Bell Drive, Ste. 105, Columbia, United StatesHoward County's Spending Affordability & Advisory Committee (SAAC), a non-partisan body comprised of residents representing different disciplines and areas of expertise, and representation from educational entities, council staff, and executive staff, provides policy advice to the County Executive on fiscal planning. Over the past two months, their work has focused on briefings from experts on the economic outlook, revenue projects, capital needs, and operating budget requests for FY26, as well as fiscal years 2027 through 2031. This effort was largely made possible by the work and continued involvement of a LHC CIP project team. CEI has diligently worked to protect this beautiful land from housing development and are restoring the farm using regenerative agriculture, creating a vibrant place of common ground
