Laurie B. Remer

Laurie joined Leadership Howard County in 2002. She is responsible for overseeing program development and implementation for the signature Leadership Premier program, and for coordinating community impact projects for class members. Previously, Laurie directed the youth leadership programs, Leadership U and Youth on Board, and helped design and launch Leadership Essentials, a program for young professionals which she directed from 2008 – 2011.

Laurie is a member of the Leadership Howard County Class of 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University, a Master of Arts in Training and Development from George Washington University, and a graduate certificate in Organizational Development from Georgetown University. Her experience in program and leadership development includes work at Providence Hospital, the Environmental Protection Agency and the University of Phoenix.

Currently, Laurie serves on the board of directors for the Association of Community Services and is past board chair of HC DrugFree. She served on the Advisory Committee of the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County and was a founder of Journey, a summer camp program for middle and high school girls.
