TJI – The Impact of COVID on Health Care in the County – Looking Into 2021

December 16 @ 8:00 am - 9:45 am

As we prepare to start a new year, how is COVID-19 still impacting health care in Howard County? Join us for a panel discussion, moderated by Elizabeth Edsall Kromm, vice president of population health & advancement, Howard County General Hospital. Panelists include: Dr. Caitlin Rivers, senior scholar, Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security; Dr. Maura Rossman, health officer, Howard County Health Department; Jackie Scott, director, Howard County Department of Community Resources & Services; and Nikki Highsmith Vernick, president & CEO, Horizon Foundation.

Hear the experts weigh in about the current state of COVID-19 in the region. Panelists will examine the state’s data, share what is happening locally from the health department and human services side and discuss how the Horizon Foundation has been a leading organization that has responded by shifting their funding focus to help meet critical needs.

We encourage participants to join us at 8 a.m. to network with other attendees in small groups; announcements and the program will begin at 8:40 a.m.
