The mission of the Howard County Department of Corrections (DOC) is to protect the citizens of Howard County by providing a secure facility for persons legally confined in the County. The Department provides for the safety of inmates and staff by maintaining a humane, clean/orderly living and working environment. It is also the policy of this Department that no inmate is discriminated against regarding programs, services, or activities due to race, religion, national origin, sex, disability or political beliefs. Business attire requested; participants are reminded to not have on their person contraband, i.e. tobacco products, lighters, etc. ALL visitors are requested to go to the main entrance/Control Desk and ask for Jack. In addition, visitors will be required to clear metal detectors. We will be able to offer this opportunity twice – once in February and once in April.
