LHC's Policy Around ALL In-Person Programming & Events
While Howard County continues to lead the nation in COVID vaccination rates, Leadership Howard County (LHC) remains vigilant with the health and safety of our constituents and partners.
  • We will continue to monitor and adhere to all federal, state, and local guidelines around COVID-related policies.
  • When we gather for in-person events/programs, LHC will continue to encourage social distancing, supporting elbow bumps over handshakes and hugs.
  • As of August 11, Howard County has been identified as a “substantial” risk area for COVID transmissions (as defined by the CDC). Therefore, we strongly encourage masks indoors for all attendees/participants, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Some event venues will require the usage of masks while on their premises, regardless of vaccination status. We will follow each venue/business’s policies and notify all event attendees/participants accordingly.
This policy is subject to change as guidelines are updated. Should you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

As the new head of Howard County’s nationally recognized library system, Ms. Kennon will share her vision for the library system, including future initiatives and partnership opportunities. Rooted in asset-based community development, her vision leverages existing strengths while turning outward to connect, engage and educate for success at the next level and beyond.

Bring a donation of NEW hats, gloves and/or scarves for toddlers to teens as we help the library system collect for its Holiday Mitten Tree. Neutral colors and styles preferred but all donations are appreciated.
