30th Anniversary Campaign

As Leadership Howard County begins its 30th year, we look back on successfully growing a community leadership program that has had impressive impact: more than 1,150 graduates have completed the Premier program, and it is estimated LHC alumni have volunteered more than 75,000 hours of support to Howard County nonprofits – equal to an investment of more than $1.8 million in our community.

Today: Our Challenge

Each year, LHC offers a limited amount of need-based financial assistance to Premier applicants – primarily to nonprofits and small business owners. The Leadership U program also receives requests from families in need of tuition subsidy. An increasing number of applicants are interested in Leadership Howard County programs, and many more request financial assistance than can be fulfilled.

The LHC Board of Directors and the Premier Class of 2014 led the way in creating a 30th Anniversary campaign to ensure the future legacy of Leadership Howard County in these important ways:

  • Ensures the availability of financial assistance primarily offered to nonprofits and small business owners
  • Enables Leadership Premier and Leadership U to remain accessible to the full diversity of the community with affordable tuition.
  • Sustains the value of the program for a growing base of membership who will continue to make a positive impact on Howard County.

The 30th Anniversary Campaign goal is to add to our current scholarship fund by raising $600,000. This will bring our scholarship fund to $1 million and allow us to support future leaders’ participation in our programs.  Learn more

Help us reach our 30th Anniversary Campaign goal of $1 million by June 30, 2016. Pledges or donations may be made directly online.
