Leadership Howard County has raised my awareness of the challenges facing our community and helped me find ways to give back. It has opened the door to new business opportunities, and led to relationships with those who share a vision of making Howard County the best it can be.

Leadership Howard County can open new doors to understanding and opportunity. Participants receive a comprehensive overview of Howard County through a ten-month program of informational sessions, focusing on how the county works, the major issues and challenges facing our community, and the identity and responsibilities of key decisions makers. Members connect with other business and community leaders, and learn about their own leadership style. They identify new ways to combine their skills, interests and resources in helping make our community stronger.

Active participation as a Leadership Howard County member allows you to maintain these relationships as a resource in meeting community challenges. Through a variety of activities, members expand their leadership network to include business and community leaders from other classes, stay informed on changes and issues within the county through its speaker series, and volunteer their leadership skills and resources to the critical needs of the county. LHC graduates also receive exclusive invitations to attend informative events with other regional Leadership organizations.
