The Food Bank provides emergency food grants to families to ensure families have adequate nutritious food. Eligibility is based on income. The Food Bank also warehouses food for distribution to other food pantries in the County to provide easier access to emergency food services. The primary source of products for the Food Bank is donations from groups and individuals who conduct food drives in their community, at their schools or workplaces. A visit to the food bank will include a tour, a 30-minute discussion about the history, operations and needs in the county, as well as an opportunity to help prepare the Food Bank’s Marketplace for shoppers! This will include cleaning, sorting donated foods, stocking shelves, etc.
