Our many employees and Board members who have graduated from Leadership Howard County have played major roles in supporting the hospital's mission, leading change both within our organization and throughout the community. Leadership Howard County has provided them with a tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth.
My experience with Leadership Howard County gave me invaluable insight into the way in which people and institutions shape my community. The program enabled me to develop strong and enduring relationships with my Leadership classmates, all of whom are exemplary leaders in their professional and personal lives. The program fundamentally changed my perspective about my own responsibility as a community leader and showed me how to contribute to the betterment of Howard County.
Leadership Essentials Coaches participate in a relationship that focuses on real-world leadership techniques and challenges. Participants work individually with their coach to explore the participants role as a leader and apply learning from his/her involvement in Leadership Essentials.
At a minimum, applicants should have ten years of experience in a leadership role from areas that include business, non-profit, and volunteer organizations, committees or religious groups. Experience in professional coaching is helpful but not required.
