APPLICATIONS  DUE JULY 2, 2015

Leadership Howard County supports two programs for adults: Leadership Premier for senior level business and community leaders and Leadership Essentials (in collaboration with Loyola University Maryland) for young professionals under 40.

An important component of both the Leadership Premier and Essentials programs is the community impact project. Program participants work together in teams with a host organization on a consultant basis, addressing an organizational challenge or strategic issue.

A Community Impact Project (CIP) is identified by a host organization – typically a nonprofit organization or government entity. The host organization identifies an organziational issue or challenge it is facing. Class participants research and propose creative, sustainable solutions. This experience is designed to be a beneficial experience not only for the organization but for our participants as well, helping them gain a better understanding of community needs and a deeper appreciation for community involvement.
