The Leadership experience gave me the foundation and understanding of the County I needed to be an effective leader for Grassroots. Over the years, as an active member I have continued to use the Leadership network to get things done and cultivate professional relationships with business and government leaders. I also enjoy contributing to each new class as a way of sharing what I have learned with emerging community leaders.
Although I started Leadership Howard County with a good familiarity of the organizations making up the county, LHC took my understanding to a whole new level. Since graduating, I have been in contact with many of my classmates as well as the professionals who presented to us throughout the year. Leadership Howard County gave me the opportunity to develop many wonderful friendships and I look forward to continuing our work together to build a stronger Howard County.
The Big Event Luncheon with Jane Pauley was an outstanding event - and a wonderful tribute to Leadership's 25 years of inspiring and supporting community leadership!
More than 450 people attended, and heard Ms. Pauley discuss the need to evaluate our passions, skills and resources, and find creative ways to put them to use in our community.
