MEMBERSHIP KICKOFF BREAKFAST
Melanie Sabelhaus, former Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has been a successful entrepreneur, businesswoman, philanthropist and corporate officer for 25 years. During her tenure as SBA deputy administrator, from 2002-2005, Sabelhaus served as second in command to SBA Administrator Hector V. Barreto in managing the agency, which has more than 80 offices nationwide. She was responsible for overseeing policy development and program supervision.
Sabelhaus also focuses her energy on her passion for nonprofits and devotes her time to community fundraising and womens business issues. She has served on numerous boards of directors for YWCA, United Way, and the Alzheimers Association of Central Maryland. She also served on the National American Red Cross Board of Governors and Womens Leadership Board. She is founding national chair of the United Way Women's Initiative and twice co-chaired the National Summit on Women's Philanthropy.
Sabelhaus and her husband, Bob Sabelhaus, an executive with the financial investment firm of Legg Mason, reside in Owings Mills, MD. They are the parents of two adult children. Sabelhaus is a graduate of Ohio University and a native of Cleveland, Ohio.

2. Please pay for events in advance or at the door. Non Active members are expected to pay in advance.
3. Pre-registration is required for all participants to guarantee space. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis only if space is available.
4. Registered participants who miss an event without prior notification are expected to pay for the event in full. Cancellation requests must be at least 2 business days prior to the event.
